FAQ
Who can attend?
If you're interested, you're eligible. just explain us why you're interested in joining the hack! Of course, we'd love to see that you've already worked on XR projects before.
How much does XR Hack cost?
It's free! We just need you to cover your travel and accommodation. If you need support on finding accommodation, feel free to reach out in the dedicated discord server.
What should I bring?
Your XR working equipment.
What is the code of conduct?
XR Hack values the importance of a safe and all-inclusive space. Anyone attending must adhere to our code of conduct.
When do applications close?
Application are open until one week before the hackathon starts. However, please be aware that we accept applications on a rolling basis, and we do have limited hacker spots per event. That means, apply as soon as possible to reserve your seat!
Do I apply with a team?
That's up to you! Feel free to apply together with your team, or alone. If you are joining on your own, you will have the chance to meet great new team members on site at the hack or perform teams on our discord.
How big are the teams?
Teams should not be larger than 5 members.
Are we allowed to build on past projects?
No, you are not allowed to start developing/coding/wireframing your project (so you cannot bring any repo or code snippet that has been developed for your specific hack project before the hackathon)
However, you can brainstorm and think of different ideas with your team beforehand.
Will you have hardware equipment to use?
We will provide a few headsets to work with, however to make sure we have enough headsets on site, it would be great if you could bring your own.
